This Privacy Policy explains how the Product Link Detector + Importer Chrome extension ("Extension", "we", "us") processes data when you use it.

What the Extension Does

The Extension detects product pages on Shopify, AliExpress, or Amazon, counts product links on the current page, shows a list of products, and lets logged-in members import selected products to their Shopify store.

Data We Process

On-page data (current tab)

  • Platform detection signals (page meta or site assets).
  • Product link paths (for example, /products/handle) from the current page.
  • Product data fetched from Shopify JSON endpoints or marketplace product pages (title, description, images, variants).

Account and import data

  • Authentication tokens and session expiry for logged-in members.
  • Selected store identifiers and import job status returned by our API.

Extension settings and cache

  • Configuration values (such as environment/base URL).
  • Short-lived session cache of product list data for performance.

How We Use Data

  • Detect Shopify pages and count product links.
  • Display product titles and images in the popup.
  • Import products to your connected Shopify store after you log in.
  • Improve responsiveness using short-lived local cache.

Where Data Is Sent

  • Shopify domains (to fetch product JSON for the products you choose).
  • AliExpress and Amazon product pages (to fetch product details).
  • Our backend at productimport.grtrading.in (to authenticate and enqueue imports).

We do not sell your personal data or share it with third parties for advertising.

Third-Party Accounts

The Extension does not collect your AliExpress or Amazon account credentials. It only reads publicly available product data from pages you visit.

Chrome Web Store Disclosures

The statements below explain how permissions are used and the Extension's single purpose.

Permission justifications

  • activeTab: Used only when you open the popup to read the current page and detect supported product links.
  • host permissions: Needed to fetch product data from Shopify, AliExpress, or Amazon pages and to call our API at productimport.grtrading.in for login and imports.
  • remote code: The Extension does not execute remote code. All logic is packaged; remote requests fetch data only.
  • storage: Stores login tokens, selected store info, settings, and short-lived cache to improve performance.
  • tabs: Used to query the active tab and open login/WhatsApp pages when you click those actions.

Single purpose

Detect product links on Shopify, AliExpress, or Amazon pages and import selected products into the user's connected Shopify store.

Policy compliance

We certify that data usage complies with the Chrome Web Store Developer Program Policies.

Storage and Retention

  • Auth tokens are stored in Chrome local storage and removed on logout or expiry.
  • Session cache is stored in Chrome session storage and cleared automatically.
  • Settings stored in Chrome sync storage can be cleared by you at any time.

Security

We use HTTPS for API requests. Tokens are stored using Chrome extension storage APIs.

Your Choices

  • Log out from the Extension to clear tokens.
  • Remove the Extension to stop all processing.
  • Clear Chrome extension data in your browser settings.

Children's Privacy

The Extension is not intended for children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the Extension evolves.
